Monty's Bar

Monty's is more than just a shop, it's a bar too. Everything in the shop is priced to take away, but if you want to sit-in and enjoy a bottle of wine, beer or spirits you pay a corkage charge on top of the take-away price.

For a 750cl bottle that's £10, £1.50 a beer and £20 for a bottle of spirits - and if you don't finish it all in one go we will look after it for your next visit!
In addition, we always have at least 16 different wines available by the glass - either a 50ml sample, 125ml or 175ml - for you to try before you buy or travel round the world with our Enomatic wine machines.
We also have a selection of Gins, Rums, Vodkas and Whiskies available by the nip to keep everyone happy.

Bookings

We take bookings over the phone, in person or by e-mail (with 24 hours-notice). Walk-ins are always welcome.

Events

With 150m2 of floor space we can cater to most events whatever you are looking to hold – from a midweek book club get together with a glass of wine, Corporate / Social Networking events or Birthday / Christmas parties to name but a few – hiring a few tables to the entire area. We can organise food and drink packages to suit all budgets.

Tastings

We can also organise wine/whisky/beer/gin tastings as a focus for your celebration, event or night out, be it on some of our favourite winemakers being in town that day, or from your favourite region or grape varietals. Get your date and your budget together and we’ll work out the rest to ensure you and your guests have a great time!”
