Our tasting events are a delightful journey through the world of wine and spirits. We do different style of events to suit every taste from the more educational to fun like crisp and wine pairings. We also do portfolio tastings where you can sample many different wines usually with a theme – from one region or one grape varietal. We can also design tastings to suit your event.

Meet the Winemaker – John Seccombe

Arranged when we went to visit John in South Africa in January, we are delighted to have the maker of Copper Pot and Thorne & Daughters in Monty’s for a wine tasting and to tell all about his wines. The Copper Pot Pinot Noir is already one of our top sellers. For Thorne & Daughters think Chenin Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Semillon and carefully crafted red and white Cape Blends.

Tormore Whisky launch tasting

One of the most beautiful distilleries in Speyside has undergone a renewal and we are looking forward to holding a launch of the new Tormore Malts at a tasting at Monty’s on Saturday 27th June at 2pm.

Balanced, elegant and full of bright fruit, Tormore whisky has always been designed to enjoy, and reflects the warm and welcoming character of Tormore Distillery. Built in 1959, it was envisioned as a vibrant village – a home for passionate whisky makers that earned the name.

Today, they are pouring renewed passion and expertise into Tormore and its process, creating a new era of this classic, delicious style. A beautiful Single Malt that has been hidden away for too long in some of the world’s best-loved blends.
