We're an independent family business borne from our twin loves of wine and travel.
Having run the Company from home since 2012 we finally took the leap and moved into our first retail premises at 10 Bon Accord Street, Aberdeen in 2024. We had fond memories of the site from before when it was run as an Oddbins. We wanted to re-create the fun atmosphere of the old Oddbins coupled with their knowledgeable staff but put our own stamp on the place.
With over 1,000 wines we’re very pleased to have one of the largest collections of wines in Scotland if not the United Kingdom along with whiskies, beers and spirits and to have the opportunity to add some good old Scottish hospitality with the shop having the bar too.
The concept is to provide an unpretentious place where good value wines are King, and customers can enjoy a glass in a relaxed environment. It’s a place with elements of wine bars we’ve enjoyed from as far apart as Bologna and Mendoza and many more.
It’s basically the type of place we wanted to drink in, there wasn’t one, so we created it. We hope you’ll enjoy it too!
Why "Monty's" wine bar
For those that haven’t met him yet Monty is the cutest member of our family – he’s our dog! Born in 2019, Monty has his own bed in the shop made up of a couple of Bordeaux wine boxes where he watches over proceedings and delivers a Meet & Greet service as customers arrive. He’s a Cockapoo but his Mum Rosie was a pure Cocker Spaniel and his Dad Thor was a Cockapoo so he’s slightly more Spaniel-ish (F1B to be technical). His main likes are head-rubs, treats and he’s mad about the ball.
