Painted Wolf Lightning Sauvignon Blanc, 2021, Walker Bay, South Africa

The grapes for this wine were hand picked, hand sorted, whole bunch pressed and fermented in large older, French oak barrels and eggs using wild yeast only.  This is a sophisticated wine with layers of crisp green apples, preserved lemons and a hint of tropical pineapple. This wine is named for the charismatic Lightning, Kruger National Park’s most famous Painted Wolf (African wild dog).
