Painted Wolf Black Tip Mourvèdre 2022

The Black Tip Mourvèdre has vivacious aromas of white grapefruit, thyme, cooked cream and that lovely first rains petrichor. Made from small bunches of hand harvested grapes off super low yielding dry-farmed vines grown on red iron rich decomposed shale soil. This is an elegant medium bodied wine with dark plum, spicy and savoury aromas and a plush finish. This brooding, delicious wine is named for Black Tip, the incredible alpha female of the Nkakasanda pack of Painted Wolves in Mana Pools, Zimbabwe. She was immortalised in the BBC documentary series ‘Dynasties’.
